Summary

Risk is defined by the various events that can potentially alter a project’s outcome and prevent managers from reaching their goals. However, risk can be avoided, or at least minimized, if it’s identified in advance and if its probabilities of occurring and possible impact on the project are thoroughly evaluated. This also allows managers to seize income-optimization opportunities without increasing the risk involved.
